Whether I’m teaching, coaching, or writing, I want to help people see that God is close—so close—and for them to experience His passionate care. This is why I created My Faith Journey. This is what fuelled my heart to write Awaken. And this is why I love to coach people in their God-given strengths.

But I’m not the only one with a story to tell, or something meaningful to share. Everywhere I look I see hundreds of untold stories.  I am a passionate believer in the power of story-sharing, and I love to give voice to the stories of God’s faithfulness written on the pages of people’s lives. 

In my day-to-day life you’ll find me living in Christchurch and loving my husband, Andrew, as well as our three teenage kids as best I can. You’ll also find me reading, enjoying a cup of coffee, walking in nature, and having deep conversations with friends.

Made to Thrive started in 2017 simply as a strengths coaching business. But it wasn’t long before I missed the classroom - the pull on my heart to see young people thrive proved too strong to keep me away!

While teaching at Aidanfield Christian School, I talked with girls who wanted to grow in their faith but found the Bible hard to understand and didn’t know where to start. A lot of these girls also felt alone in the different life issues they were facing. My daughter was one of them. I wanted to help. 

I created a journal—My Faith Journey 2020—to help these girls get into God’s Word for themselves in a simple and gentle way. Carefully selected Scriptures served to guide them towards the truth of God’s Word and His love. Within its pages were also faith stories, written by girls and women of all ages, to remind everyone who read it that they were not alone.

The feedback was overwhelming! I was so encouraged to hear how the journal was helping girls and women draw closer to God. So I did again…and again. And this year we celebrate the third publication— My Faith Journey 2022.

So it turns out that I love a lot of things: teaching, coaching, writing, creating, and connecting. And that’s why Made to Thrive now includes all of these loves!

Like the journals, this site has been created for you. Because you matter. Every resource you find here is my way of holding your hand and pointing you to the heart of our heavenly Father. His love and His Word have changed me, and I pray that this site will help you discover just how loved you really are!
